It's DJ Format DJ Format Biog: Matt Ford, better known as DJ Format (a near-inversion of his birth name), is a hip hop DJ born in Southampton, United Kingdom and living in Brighton. He collaborates frequently with Abdominal on the album Music For the Mature B-Boy and with Abdominal and fellow Canadian rapper D-Sisive on the second full album If You Can't Join 'Em… Beat 'Em, as well as with Akil and Chali 2na from Jurassic 5. As a youth, Ford's first hip hop influences included A Tribe Called Quest and Main Source. He established a relationship with Jurassic 5 and initially traveled with them as their bus driver. He came to national attention in 2002 when he opened on tour for DJ Shadow. In 2005, If You Can't Join 'Em… Beat 'Em reached the top 10 of the UK indie albums chart and was named by the Sun as being one of the years Top 100 albums!

19th December 2008 Two thirds of the legendary New Wave Band The Jam tour in December and follows recent sold-out shows in Australia, Canada and the USA, the band have now enjoyed worldwide success with their incredibly energetic and hit-packed live shows - the Washington Post exulted that "those Jam cuts retained all their sleek, muscular power." The much anticipated return to the UK in December allows the band to build on their phenomenal touring success here in 2007 when Bruce and Rick first reconnected and reunited with their loyal fan base. A totally sold-out and rapturously-received From The Jam show was recorded in December 2007 at London's Kentish Town Forum and will be released as the "'A First Class Return' From The Jam", DVD on 9 June 2008 through Invisible Hands Music. This release captures the truly electric celebratory atmosphere, the band's pervasive love of the songs plus the incredible crowd participation and feedback.

The first "Inti-mate" gig is set for Friday 19th December, and our venue is Ashford School, who have kindly offered to let us use them as a regular venue. This particular gig, our "Christmas Launch Party", will host the likes of local acts Elephants and John Lally, Kent acts The Suggestions and Underground Heroes and other county acts Hold Fire and The Getaway Team.
