Herne Bay based dance group who specialise in IDTA Ballroom and Latin dancing

Belmont School of Ballet is a friendly ballet school based at Belmont Primary School, Belmont Road, Erith, Kent DA8 1LE Girls and boys aged 3 years upwards are most welcome! The school was established at Belmont Primary School in September 2000 by Susie Clarke, who was invited to set up an "after school ballet club". 18 months later, there were over 50 children attending and a waiting list in operation! In May 2002, the new Saturday classes were introduced which could incorporate children from outside of Bemont School and include a Reception Class for 3-4 year olds. By 2006 the School had 140 members and classes were extended to Monday and Tuesday evenings. Senior students learning the Russian [Vaganova] system, have appeared with the London Childrens' Ballet , the English Youth Ballet and some are now entering professional performing arts colleges. Students have gained 1st and 2nd place in local dance festivals and regularly perform for charity and other events.

Founded by Doreen Bird 60 years ago, Bird College is an acknowledged centre of excellence for dance and theatre performance. Our patrons are Gillian Lynn and Liz Robertson. Discovery of your own strengths and weaknesses is a challenging experience. We all have particular abilities in certain areas and success can only be achieved through self-awareness and by developing an individual artistry that is uniquely your own.
